BPC-157 B2B documentation and quotation checklist

Freeze BPC-157 identity, salt form, fill, and document scope before comparing wholesale quotes. Public evidence stays Tested Sample unless lot correspondence is recorded.

Freeze sequence, salt form, fill, and document scope before you compare BPC-157 wholesale quotes. A lower unit price that changes any of those fields is a different goods description, not a better deal.

This checklist is for professional B2B buyers writing a China-side enquiry file. It covers product-documentation fields, the COA + HPLC + MS + SDS pack, and what to ask about MOQ and lead time. It is not a use guide, and it does not clear material for any destination.

Why name-only quotes are not comparable

Suppliers often answer “BPC-157” with a price per vial, per box, or per gram. The number can hide a different salt, a powder quote versus a vial, a purity percent with no chromatogram, or a public PDF treated as coverage for the lot you would pay for.

The general freeze is in the RFQ checklist for China-side peptide sourcing. Same pattern: Retatrutide and Tirzepatide.

Spec fields to freeze

If two quotes differ on any row, reconcile the spec before you rank price.

Spec field What to write down Why it changes the quote
Named product Name you will use on the PO, packing list, and evidence file Stops a silent code-name swap
Sequence reference Amino-acid sequence the supplier claims, written out A trade name is not the chain
Salt / counterion Free peptide, acetate, or another stated salt Salt form changes what “mg per vial” means
Identifier cross-check Any CAS or catalog ID the supplier cites, checked by you Catches an ID copied from a different form
Format Lyophilized vial, bulk powder, or another agreed form Format changes cost and which documents you can request
Stated fill and basis Fill as a label field, plus gross salt versus net peptide if defined Unit price needs a denominator
Pack-out and label Units per carton; neutral versus private label / OEM Artwork and setup often sit outside the headline price
Acceptance lines Methods and thresholds you require A supplier’s advertised percent is not your specification

Cross-check any CAS or catalog ID against a public record you open yourself. One free-peptide index entry is PubChem CID 9941957, titled with molecular formula C62H98N16O22: https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/9941957. That page is not a lot certificate, not a BatchVerity result, and not a use statement. If the quote is a salt, the supplier should name the salt and the parent sequence together. Do not treat a free-peptide CAS and a salt line as one material.

Document pack and evidence scope

Ask for the pack in Peptide documentation package: COA + HPLC + MS + SDS. Document type and evidence scope are separate questions.

Document Buyer question BPC-157 note
COA What did an independent lab report for the submitted material? Field order: How to read a peptide COA.
HPLC What trace supports the purity panel on that COA? A percent without a matching trace is incomplete.
MS What spectrum supports the identity panel? Identity support is not fill weight or lot correspondence.
SDS What handling information belongs in the logistics file? An SDS does not change laboratory scope.

Read identity, purity, and content as separate lines. If your spec needs sterility, endotoxin, or another panel, name it. Do not read it into a report that never ran it. See Third-party tested peptides.

Scope label What you have Rule for this enquiry
Tested Sample (default) An independent report for material submitted to the lab Default for public evidence. Product-name match is not lot correspondence.
Batch-Linked That report plus documented lot correspondence Only when lot marks on the tested unit and the proposed goods match, and the match is recorded.

Do not treat a library PDF, a prior sample, or a verbal “same batch” line as Batch-Linked coverage for a new order. Definitions: Tested Sample vs Batch-Linked COA. Whether the file is the report it claims to be: Verified peptide COA report authenticity and batch linkage.

MOQ, lead time, and label scope

Ask for stated bands, not “in stock” or “same as last time.”

  1. MOQ for the frozen format, salt, fill, and pack-out — pilot, first release, or ongoing — and whether the unit price applies only inside one band.
  2. Lead time for goods already produced, or for a new lot after the spec is frozen.
  3. If you need private label or OEM artwork: setup charges, MOQ changes, and proof approval, separate from unit price.
  4. Which documents are included, and which checks finish before deposit, balance, and shipment release.

Private label changes packaging scope. It does not upgrade a Tested Sample COA into lot-linked evidence.

Quote-pack checklist

  1. Sequence reference and salt or counterion, plus any CAS you cross-checked.
  2. Format, stated fill, fill basis, and pack-out.
  3. Neutral versus private-label scope, including price exclusions.
  4. Quantity band and MOQ.
  5. COA, HPLC if purity is in scope, MS if identity is in scope, SDS for logistics.
  6. Scope labeled Tested Sample, or Batch-Linked only if lot marks will be recorded.
  7. Lead-time basis and payment gates tied to completed checks.
  8. Identifier match plan across COA, HPLC, MS, labels, and packing list.

Red flags before you rank price

Red flag What to request instead
Product name only Written sequence plus salt or counterion
CAS with no salt stated Salt named beside the ID you will check
Price per vial with no fill basis Stated fill and gross versus net
A purity percent with no method or trace Method plus matching HPLC support
COA with no lab, date, or sample ID Independent report identifiers
Public PDF offered as the batch COA Keep the Tested Sample label, or record lot marks
SDS or a label proof offered as quality evidence Leave them on the logistics or artwork track

Qualified B2B enquiries only. Laboratory testing, factory audits, and extended investigations are quoted separately. A look at the enquiry file is not an approval of goods.

What must a BPC-157 quote specify before I compare price?

Sequence reference, salt or counterion, format, fill and fill basis, pack-out, quantity band, document list, and evidence scope.

How do I cross-check an identifier a supplier sends?

Open a public record and compare the sequence and any CAS they wrote down. PubChem CID 9941957 (formula C62H98N16O22) is one free-peptide index entry. A registry page does not certify a sales lot.

Does a high HPLC percent prove identity and content?

No. Identity, purity, and content are separate panels. Ask for MS support behind an identity claim, and for content only if that panel was run.

Is a public BPC-157 COA Batch-Linked?

No. Read public evidence as Tested Sample unless that record documents lot correspondence. See Tested Sample vs Batch-Linked COA.
